his is an exciting and challenging position that provides Product development Quality & Compliance support to ensure successful adherence with customer satisfaction and worldwide product and safety requirements.
The position is responsible for supporting Amazon's product development support in North America.
We are looking for a talented subject matter expert in Product development who has direct experience with product development quality, testing and compliance strategies to support our rapidly growing and evolving business.
Key responsibilities Hire and develop a team of hardware support engineers that will partner with Design engineers, product development teams, manufacturing teams, and reliability, maintenance, and engineering teams to maximize the performance of robotics systems.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms for your hardware support engineers Identify, analyze and resolve mechanical, controls and system issues across multiple warehouse product types.
Develop metrics and proactive monitoring tools to measure the safety, reliability, and performance of advanced robotics systems Develop and implement proactive monitoring tools to measure the safety, reliability, and performance of systems deployed.
Develop and implement diagnostic tools to minimize troubleshooting and machine downtime.
Create an escalation process for hardware and systems issues impacting machine reliability and performance.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures and training content for robotics systems.
Conduct maintainability, safety, ergonomic, and risk assessments on robotics and warehouse products and preventative maintenance procedures.
Ensure products continuously comply with Amazon's quality, performance, reliability, as well as relevant safety and regulatory requirements worldwide.
Implement and apply quality systems methods throughout the product lifecycle Perform risk assessments for products and setup control plans to prevent/resolve issues Continuously refine test methods and protocols.
Drive scalable business solutions which ensure compliance with consumer product regulations Work pro-actively and as a team with Safety, Design, Reliability, Testing, Learning, procurement, supplier quality and Product Compliance teams to ensure requirements are followed.
Provide full visibility to internal stakeholders for all product findings.
30% - 50% travel expected.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
