POSITION OVERVIEW:
Plans, organizes and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Fleet Services function ensuring that vehicles are operational and available to project management and/or the client when required. This includes overseeing the operation of the FIMS (fleet information management system) to ensure accurate and complete information relative to tracking fleet inventory, as well as related vehicle insurance, licensing, leasing agreements, and maintenance service.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Serves as system administrator for the FIMS (fleet information management system) to ensure the accurate tracking of vehicle data. Oversees the daily implementation and operation including software system upgrades, maintenance, user training, and workflow. May work with IT group as required.
+ Works with Fleet Services Manager and/or directly with project management to ensure timely delivery and maintenance of vehicles for project and/or client use. May assist in developing customized vehicle specifications.
+ Ensures timely and correct upfit of vehicles to meet customer operational requirements.
+ Generates FIMS reports to identify upcoming lease and license expirations, and takes action regarding renewal or termination
+ Utilizes third-party maintenance systems to monitor and track vehicle repairs and maintenance schedules. Ensures that vehicles are scheduled for regular service and operational maintenance without disruption to project. Provides cost reports as required.
+ Oversees administration of fleet fuel card program.
+ Analyzes and identifies vehicle trends via monthly inspection reports generated by FIMS and/or other third-party queries. Anticipates potential problems and initiates suitable alternative actions.
+ Provides direction to Fleet Services Administrator(s) as required.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
2-year degree in Automotive Technology and at least 7 years of related work experience, or High School graduate with equivalent combination of related work experience. Previous experience working in a fleet management environment and the ability to perform in a lead capacity or DoD fleet management experience is a plus. In addition, must possess a valid driver?s license and maintain an insurable driving record.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Working knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance, asset procurementand cradle-to-grave fleet management is required. Also requires PC skills and an aptitude for utilizing an automated tracking system.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
