Specialist, Procurement (CPD)

The Procurement Specialist (CPD) position functions as the Liaison between associates, customers, vendors and Supply Chain Management to facilitate the process of special orders or quotes. This individual works as a member of the the Non-code print & promo procurement team to ensure the efficient execution of Noncode Print, Promotianal Products and Proprietary items for purchase and/or quotations for all levels of customer accounts. This position supports all selling channels BSD/Retail/E-Com to help develop an environment where customer satisfaction is held to the highest standards.

Proof and/or write special orders from sales, customer and/or Customer Service Representatives
Coordinate procurement activities with third-party vendors and suppliers, including but not limited to: Norwood Promo Team, Innerworkings Strategic Sourcing, and all others.
Assures that all orders are completed by the expected deadline by monitoring workload and assessing needs in advance including follow up on Wins/Losses.
Interact with internal and external customers to clarify product specifications (i.e. quantities and delivery requirements, etc.)
Offer possibly alternative products from national assortment in order to eliminate special orders and reduce processing costs
Work with customers, vendors and Support Center to resolve issues (i.e. pricing, P.O. processing, damage, shipping discrepancies, etc.)
Support CPD Print Support Centers (formerly RPFs) including coordination of the entire RFP process, which includes responding to the questions, legal addendums, pricing analysis. Negotiates contract business terms and conditions with prospective customers.
Monitors and maintains Open Special Orders Report. Research and determine correct course of action (close, delete and/or re-bill). Monitor and maintain A/P discrepancies. Research and coordinate with A/P in order to take correct action. Research and resolve special order problems and CRF's (i.e. PODs, order status, damage/defective, shortages, etc.)
Interacts with vendors, customers, merchandising, sales and other company employees as necessary in order to meet requirements of position. Coordinate delivery and installation by third party vendors. Follow-up to verify customer has received product. Modify AOPS order and mainframe purchase order if changes occur. Obtain Return Goods Authorization (RGA) and resolve disposition of returns
Follow-up on drop ship orders to ensure customer billing. Monitor and ensure the pricing mark-up is consistent with revenue band guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
Degree in business or related field
1-3 years experience in related field
Other Information:
Print industry experience in the execution of comprehensive print procurement or production management programs. In depth knowledge of online order management, sourcing, and production fulfillment systems and applications.
Must be proficient in MS Office applications, industry standard web browsers.
Experience with online print sourcing applications and systems
In depth knowledge of the printing industry; including but not limited to digital, offset, and promotional products printing.
Ability to function in a collaborative manner with all levels of management and be effective in leading cross-functioning teams. Ability to think strategically and translate into tactical execution. Exceptional organizational skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information, develop action plans and then following up through completion.
Able to write and speak proficient English.
Strong collaboration skills and personal maturity. Communication skills with the ability to interpret, break down then clearly and concisely articulate information. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact with and influence various individuals and business units.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
