Senior Production Manager - Sumner

As a Senior Production Manager you are accountable for roasting, coffee processing, and packaging management including the planning and execution of activities necessary to meet product production volumes. This position will contribute to overall company profits through management of high standards of safety, quality, cost control, and team involvement while advocating our Continuous Process Improvement and CSR initiatives. The position will report on the operating results for the production areas to the Director of Plant Operations and work to streamline the efficiency of production with an emphasis on quality, safety, and improved results period to period. This position will actively engage their team in initiatives that result in better production performance.
What you will do:
Effective leadership and management of manufacturing team leaders/supervisors, technicians, and 200 hourly production associates.
Responsible for delivery results for all production lines and all shifts at the facility.
Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
Develops and inspires others by building and maintaining relationships that motivate, guide, and / or reinforce the performance of others toward goal accomplishments.
Develop analytical tools and reports in order to manage supply chain performance.
Analyze performance data in order to report operating results of the production area to the Director of Plant Operations.
Work to streamline efficiency of production emphasizing safety, quality, and improved financial results.
Creates and manages the annual production budget. Requires capacity and staff planning ability with variable and fixed expense planning expertise
Develops productivity tracking metrics to determine performance and determines productivity improvements as needed
Develops staff and capacity planning models determining personnel expense and year to year productivity rates
Develops, sponsors and implements productivity improvements and oversees production quality performance and conformance
Improves strategies for production process such as cost reduction, space utilization, safety and cleanliness
Performs ROI (Return on Investment) analysis cost justifying changes and process improvements
Oversees inventory control procedures and ensures accuracy goals are achieved, with operating policy and procedural documentation maintained and up to date
Works directly with Director of Plant Operations and cross-functionally with the Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, Planning, Purchasing, HR, Distribution, Finance, and QC departments to improve quality, streamline efficiencies, reduce operating expenses, and improve inventory accuracy.
Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.
Oversees process documentation and ensures employee training is consistent with policy and procedural guidelines
Evaluates direct reports' performance on a continual basis and ensures supervisory staff completes performance reviews in a timely manner
Follows all policies, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by OSHA, Keurig Green Mountain and the department as well as Federal and State regulations which includes the ability to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations regarding lockout/tag out, hot work, fall protection etc.
Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.
Responsible for ensuring the production of a safe, wholesome and quality product and requires trained designees when applicable.
Performs other duties as requested by management
Follow all Keurig Green Mountain policies and procedures
In the occasions when persons in this role are absent, management has assigned resources to cover their nominated duties to ensure the integrity of the SQF System.
What you must have:
Four-year Bachelors' degree (Engineering degree preferred) and 10 years of intensive food-related manufacturing management with a focus of 200 /- employees
Demonstrated working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and a firm knowledge of productivity tracking
Demonstrated working knowledge of fundamentals of lean manufacturing, pull and visual systems, and Total Quality Management (TQM)
Overall knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft ERP or similar systems
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and interdepartmentally with peer group, supervisory staff, planners, maintenance and engineering departments
Demonstrated leadership, supervisory skills and team motivational skills
Proven equipment troubleshooting skills
Ability to positively and comfortably handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation and focused attention to detail
Planning, organizational and interpersonal skills essential
Must be comfortable developing and conducting group presentations
Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose solutions to problems
Must be able to travel occasionally, work in a team environment, and occasionally work a flexible schedule.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
