Packaging Lab Technician, Packaging Innovation

As part of the Packaging Lab team, this position is primarily responsible for testing packages in accordance with documented laboratory processes that simulate the Amazon fulfillment network.
They are also responsible for reviewing 3rd party test reports from other labs, recording test results, and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders regarding testing.
These tests are part of the Frustration Free Packaging Program, and help Amazon validate when a product can be safely shipped without the need for additional packaging.
This position is within the Packaging Innovation organization and the work directly impacts global packaging automation and reduction goals, in support of Amazon's Climate Pledge.
Packaging Lab Technicians also support other various packaging and robotics requests, including limited travel to fulfillment centers and corporate offices.

Responsibilities include:
Maintain and promote safety within the Lab Regular lab cleaning, preventative maintenance, and 5S Conduct both in-person and virtual packaging testing and document results Review 3rd-party test reports, demonstrating high attention to detail.
Communicate with vendors and internal customers in a timely and concise manner Interact with non-English-speaking stakeholders, using available translation tools when necessary.
Record activity and maintain data integrity in a variety of systems and tools.
Provide packaging feedback to other Amazon teams.
Participate in varied Packaging and Robotics onsite and virtual support projects Review customer feedback and use packaging expertise to advise internal teams.
Manage multiple projects and varying tasks simultaneously.
Supporting internal teams with project launches and trials, including (less than 10%) out-of-state travel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
